Alien and Stranger
I Am An Alien And Stranger In This World - A Christian As long as I can remember - I have been a stranger in this world. Even as a child - I saw things from a different perspective. I saw them through the spiritual eyes that God had blessed me with. I saw things from a spiritual perspective. One example of how I am a stranger comes from my childhood memories. I grew up in a time when the women wore dresses and there were very exceptions to that rule. I attended a local church and one day the pastor’s wife had a talk with mom. She told her to let me wear jeans to services. I liked wearing dresses and for a period of time - I felt uncomfortable but soon adjusted to the new style. I suppose the pastor’s wife felt I needed to fit in with the other children. But, I never really did fit in - I was always different than everyone else. As a child I would play school and make crosses out of play -dough. I would invite the neighborhood children to church. I would even ask mom to give my clothes I had outgrown to a neighbor child down the street. The Lord and I had a close relationship in my childhood prayers. I would lock myself in the bathroom and kneel down to pray. I knew God had a plan for me and I never did enjoy things that did not glorify God. Today, I am really an alien and stranger in this world because I am an ordained pastor and I am a woman. The Lord called me and I am not ashamed and I will stand firm for the Lord and continue in his service until I draw my last breath. I will not compromise to fit in or to receive donations. I am in the Lord’s army and I will follow his orders. I preach the truth and call sin: “Sin”. Someday, everyone will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and will give account for their lives. Pastors and Christians need to wake up and hear the battle cry to serve the Lord and spread the good news of Jesus! I Peter 2:11-12 “Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits".

Tattoos
Rev. Kimberly R. Dreiman Made In God’s Image In today’s society-tattoos and body piercing are common sites. Personally, I believe they are a way for Satan to mock what God has created. Tattoos and body piercing are not from the Lord. The Lord clearly states this in: Leviticus 19:28 “Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves, I am the Lord.” (NIV) In I Corinthians 3:16 “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred and you are the temple.” (NIV) – The scripture reminds us that the body is God’s temple and should be treated with honor and respect. If you are considering body piercing or getting a tattoo – ask yourself: “Would this be pleasing to the Lord?” The answer would be No! Why not take the money you would spend on a tattoo or piercing and use it for something that would glorify God. You may ask about those who have a tattoo or piecing and they received it before they knew the Lord. Tattoos can be removed and body piercing will disappear if object is removed. In some cases – it may be impossible or too expensive to remove the tattoos. So, the person who made the choice to have a tattoo – may carry that with them for the rest of their life. Remember, the Lord looks at the condition inside the heart – not the outward appearance.

Donations Needed "Give Children A Chance"
Donations Needed For Soldiers and “Give Children A Chance” Ring of Fire Evangelistic Ministry has adopted a soldier who reaches out to meet the needs of war torn children. Army Sgt. 1st Class Jarrod Gozy was adopted by the ministry. Care packages will be sent to him once a month - along with letters and prayers. Some needed items for the care package are: almonds and hand-warmers. As with previous care packages sent - Army Sgt. 1st class Jarrod Gozy has agreed to share items with other soldiers. Items such as granola bars, candy and other items are also needed. Items may be dropped off at 208 N. Boone St. in Olney, IL or phone:618-392-7880 or 838-0328 for more information. Army Sgt. 1st class Jarrod Gozy had his needs met growing up. He grew up in Chillicothe and was one of eight children. He has been deployed to Haiti, Iraq and Afghanistan and has seen the great need of these children in those areas. In an effort to help children who have done without - he started the “Give Children A Chance” program. Gozy started by handing out candy and toys to Haitian children approximately a decade ago. But, he realized these children needed school supplies and other basic items for living such as clothes ect. The project was expanded ( approximately 2 years ago) to provide clothing to keep the children warm. Money was raised and used to provide book bags, coats and school supplies. This project is directed through Cameron Baptist Church - which is near fort Bragg, N. C. Gozy is a member of this church. The donations that were given provided supplies for a school full of students, 20 teachers and three administrators. These items would not have been a reality if they had not been donated to these war torn areas. Donations may be sent to: “Give Children A Chance” Sfc. Jarrod Gozy HHC LTF 173DSB APOAE09355 or e-mail Gozy at: jarrod.gozy@us.army.mil or send donations to: Cameron Baptist Church P.O. Box 155 Cameron NC 28326 Attention: Give Children A Chance. If items are sent to the church - this will ensure it is used for this purpose. This also cuts down on shipping and handling. The church works closely with nearby Fort Bragg to get items oversees. Donations to be sent for Gozy and the other soldiers should be dropped by: 208 N. Boone St. in Olney, IL 62450. May God Bless You for the willingness to donate to support the soldiers.
