Donations Needed "Give Children A Chance"
Donations Needed For Soldiers and “Give Children
A Chance”
Ring of Fire Evangelistic Ministry has
adopted a soldier who reaches out to meet the
needs of war torn children. Army Sgt. 1st Class
Jarrod Gozy was adopted by the ministry. Care
packages will be sent to him once a month - along
with letters and prayers. Some needed items for
the care package are: almonds and hand-warmers.
As with previous care packages sent - Army Sgt.
1st class Jarrod Gozy has agreed to share items
with other soldiers. Items such as granola bars,
candy and other items are also needed. Items may
be dropped off at 208 N. Boone St. in Olney, IL
or phone:618-392-7880 or 838-0328 for more
information.
Army Sgt. 1st class Jarrod Gozy had his
needs met growing up. He grew up in Chillicothe
and was one of eight children. He has been
deployed to Haiti, Iraq and Afghanistan and has
seen the great need of these children in those
areas. In an effort to help children who have
done without - he started the “Give Children A
Chance” program. Gozy started by handing out
candy and toys to Haitian children approximately
a decade ago. But, he realized these children
needed school supplies and other basic items for
living such as clothes ect.
The project was expanded ( approximately 2
years ago) to provide clothing to keep the
children warm. Money was raised and used to
provide book bags, coats and school supplies.
This project is directed through Cameron Baptist
Church - which is near fort Bragg, N. C. Gozy is
a member of this church. The donations that were
given provided supplies for a school full of
students, 20 teachers and three administrators.
These items would not have been a reality if they
had not been donated to these war torn areas.
Donations may be sent to: “Give Children A
Chance” Sfc. Jarrod Gozy HHC LTF 173DSB

jarrod.gozy@us.army.mil or send donations to:
Cameron Baptist Church P.O. Box 155 Cameron NC

items are sent to the church - this will ensure
it is used for this purpose. This also cuts down
on shipping and handling. The church works
closely with nearby Fort Bragg to get items
oversees.
Donations to be sent for Gozy and the other
soldiers should be dropped by: 208 N. Boone St.
in Olney, IL 62450. May God Bless You for the
willingness to donate to support the soldiers.
